London Spirit 2026: full squad, new signings, and their Hundred fixtures

By Duane Martin · Cricket Daily

London Spirit have long been the underachievers of the men's Hundred, but 2026 brings a serious statement of intent. The franchise is now co-owned by a Silicon Valley consortium of tech leaders alongside MCC, and they spent the biggest single fee of the entire auction to build a side capable of finally competing at Lord's.

Liam Livingstone, the competition's all-time leading six-hitter, takes over as captain, with Andy Flower arriving as head coach. Add explosive South African talent Dewald Brevis, leg-spin king Adam Zampa, and record buy James Coles, and this is a very different Spirit.

Here is the full squad, the new arrivals, and every fixture London Spirit play this summer.

When do London Spirit start their Hundred 2026 campaign?

The tournament runs from July 21 to August 16, 2026, with the eliminator at the Kia Oval on August 14 and the final at Lord's on August 16. London Spirit open at home against Manchester Super Giants at Lord's on Thursday, July 23, and play four of their eight games at the Home of Cricket.

Who are London Spirit's new signings for 2026?

New owners MCC and the Tech Titans consortium reshaped the squad around captain Liam Livingstone. Jamie Overton was retained, with Livingstone, Adam Zampa and Dewald Brevis signed directly. The auction was headlined by uncapped all-rounder James Coles, the most expensive buy of the whole 2026 auction, alongside Jonny Bairstow and David Willey. Andy Flower is the new head coach.

The new signings, explained

The story at London Spirit starts in the boardroom. As part of The Hundred's investment process, MCC retained a majority stake and sold the rest to Cricket Investor Holdings Limited, a Silicon Valley consortium of US-based technology leaders nicknamed the Tech Titans, in a deal reported at around £145 million. The rebrand brought Barclays in as principal shirt partner and Nike as kit supplier.

On the field, the recruitment was aggressive. Four pre-auction moves set the base: Jamie Overton was retained, while Liam Livingstone, Australian wrist-spinner Adam Zampa and young South African star Dewald Brevis were signed directly. Livingstone, who holds the record for the most sixes in Hundred history, takes the captaincy, and Brevis, nicknamed "Baby AB," brings 360-degree power in his first taste of the competition.

The auction produced the headline of the whole event. London Spirit paid £390,000 for uncapped England all-rounder James Coles, the single most expensive lot across all eight teams, betting big on a spin-bowling all-rounder who can bat in the top four after a standout winter in the SA20 and for England Lions. Around him, Jonny Bairstow and David Willey add international experience, with Adam Milne, Mason Crane, Tymal Mills and Matthew Fisher rounding out a varied attack.

Andy Flower, one of the most decorated coaches in the game, takes charge as head coach. The London Spirit men have never won the title, though the women's side lifted the trophy in 2024, so there is a clear benchmark for this expensively assembled group to chase.

London Spirit fixtures: The Hundred 2026

Every team plays eight group games, meeting six sides once and their local rivals twice. For Spirit, that repeat fixture is fellow London side MI London, whom they face home and away. Four of their eight games are at Lord's. Times below are local UK time (BST), which applies at every ground, alongside IST for readers following from the subcontinent.

For fans in India and Pakistan, most of these are late-night watches around 10:30 to 11:00 PM IST. The exception is the group-stage finale at Cardiff on August 12, which starts at a friendly 7:30 PM IST.

Where to watch and what's at stake

In the UK, Sky Sports is the home of The Hundred with every match live. The BBC carries all games live on BBC Sounds, shows 16 matches live on BBC TV, and posts highlights on BBC iPlayer and its sport site.

The men's and women's sides that finish top of their group tables go straight to the final at Lord's on August 16. The teams placed second and third meet in the eliminator at the Kia Oval on August 14 to decide who joins them.

With new money, a proven coach in Flower, and a squad that finally matches their London rivals for star power, this is the best chance Spirit have had to make a real run. Playing four times at Lord's should help. Their campaign begins there against Manchester Super Giants on July 23.
